Mali Su can ride her BIKE w/o Training Wheels

She is now 5 years old and this is the age that works for us.
5th birthday, learn to ride a bike.
Jake is a pro at this.  I didn't tell him but I had a dream the night before that I taught her how to ride her bike because he was so busy.  Man alive am I glad he wasn't too busy because that man of mine is GOOD at what he does.
She would forget to peddle, put on her brakes a lot, and leaned way far to each side.  She was so determined and figured it out in no time.
She told Jake after one trip down that she got "two crashes!"
This one rode his tricycle down and decided this dirt was more fun.  He's literally a MESS all the time.
Aimi Lark was a great big sister and rode right beside her each time up and down the hill.

I love how determined my little Mali Su is and she does not scare easily!
Up the hill again she goes!  On her last ride if she made it all the way to me with no help from Daddy and no crashing we would get BLUE BELL.  The bribe worked, she did it!
ICE CREAM FOR DINNER!  while watching home movies I'll add, it was a great night!

Here is the video of the last run, just go ahead and mute your sound til the very end.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
