Day 2 on the Town in Key West

Jake took all but Solomon and Malachi out on the boat to fish and swim for the day.  I took the boys and we went with my Mom on a Trolley ride around the island seeing the sights.
I gave Malachi the incentive that I would buy him this monkey he saw in a souvenir shop if he was good on the almost 2 hour long trolley tour.  He was!
This is the tallest building on Key West.  It's 7 stories tall I believe.  They like to keep with the old school charm of the island.
The lighthouse and beautiful homes were on the tour.
We came back for lunch at this Cuban sandwich shop.  It was YUMMY!
A channel that stretches along the island.
See, told you he was good.  He ended up sitting down on the floor at our seat and falling ASLEEP.
My Mom and her date, Mr. Sea Sponge.
Of course the famous Caroline Street.
My Mom and I love history so tours like this work for us and luckily they worked for our kids this day too!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
