At our Hotel



I already want another getaway,  I've got issues.   But with a sweet husband like mine can you blame me?

We're starting INSANITY tomorrow,  together.

I unpacked today from key west.  Maybe tomorrow I'll unpack from the Bahamas.

I'm sitting on Malachi's bed with him as he drifts off to sleep.  His face just went from serious to sweet dreams.

Jake worked on letters to friends in Chile today in preparation for our December trip.

The relief society presidency I was in was released last week so not having any responsibilities today was different.   Then Jake had me sub for the 12-18 year old Sunday school class.  He quizzed a few of the kids after class and they knew what the lesson was about so I didn't completely fail.

Brody is preparing to receive his patriarchal blessing.   I'm so excited for him, he's an amazing young man.

I'm going to plant squash and zucchini tomorrow in my garden.   I think I'll do that after giving Brody and the elders haircuts.

I'm thinking I'll get in bed, I'm exhausted!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
