I love our pool, I cannot say that enough.  Swimming EVERY SINGLE DAY, a dream.  Now with the addition of my $30 garage sale water slide who needs water Disney?  Not us!

I started another Feel Great in 8 challenge.  It's an 8 week all over makeover challenge.  I lost 20lbs last time and gained some great habits.  I then went on to lose 10 more pounds after that.  I have lost 6 since starting the challenge, I'm so excited.  I have a bad habit of eating LATE AT NIGHT and carbs are my love.  This challenge helps me get those habits in check.

Aimi Lark starts Montessori preschool on Monday.  Jake's done with teaching Jr. High on Friday.  I have applied for him other teaching positions at other schools, but if nothing works out he's been offered his job back where he currently teaches.  Guess only time will tell.  I don't love the pay but I love how well teaching works with Jake attending law school.  Plus I'm a sucker for salary, I cannot handle hourly pay.

Solomon is so messy, he's always filthy.  I still find it funny, but disgusting.  How is he always gross?  I want to bathe him every half hour.  This never happened with my first 3 children.

Mali Su's hair is down to her waist now.  It's really beautiful.  I took it all down the other day and she walked around tossing it to and fro like it was the greatest thing.  I guess I really never let her wear it all down to enjoy.

My Mom just booked us for 2 more summer concerts.  We are going to see Sugarland in July and Jason Aldean in August.  I get so impatient for these things.  Once again, I'm not a big far out planner, I like to just decide something and go.

Bluebell ice cream was on sale today.  It's always like Christmas when that happens.  I bought 4 things of it.

I'm such a pushover with my kids.  I always say I pick my battles but I realize more and more that I pick very few battles.  I think I've said that before.  The reason I'm even bringing this up is because I let Aimi Lark and Malachi watch a show just now when they should be in bed.  I blogged, they watched a show in my room with me, no one screamed, win/win right?  Right...

Ok off to put them to bed, for real this time.
Night y'all.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
