Father's Day

We spent in GA with the Shillig 1s and 5s.
It was a BLAST!
I couldn't believe how much this year Father's Day felt like Mother's Day.  Jake is so much better as a selfless helper to me when he's not trying so hard to take care of me.  It was so nice to be working as a team, both trying to care for one another.  On Mother's Day he was trying so hard to take care of me he wasn't his normal happy self, he was stressed out Jake.  I thought this year was PERFECT.  Great family time, great food, and lots of fun!

 Look at his super cool shirt we made him with some homemade paper letter stencils and bleach water.  Deseret Sting is his gamer tag and a name he made up with much meaning for him since he's allergic to bee stings and Deseret means honey bee.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
