Solomon is 14 Months & 4 Days Old

He is always filthy.
He does not like the high chair.  He only wants to sit with the big kids at their table.
He fell today at church and got a little carpet burn under his nose.  While checking him for damages I saw that he had a HUGE canker sore on the inside of his bottom lip, so pitiful!
He loves to be outside.
He LOVES walks with Jake more than anything in this world I think.
He is taking a bottle.
He was completely weaned at 13 and a half months.  One day he refused to eat 4 times in a row so we just quit, then and there.  He hasn't seemed phased.  I am grateful, like Malachi, I was worried about weaning him but all four weaned themselves.
He LOVES Chick Fil A for their ice cream cones.
He loves to climb UP slides.
He has learned that in order to get in his morning nap at church he has to sleep in some one's arms.  Last week it was Brody, this week it was Jake.  I love cuddly sleepers.
He loves drinking out of a straw.
He isn't talking, but he is understanding.  He is good at following directions.
He gets into everything.
He is in bed at 6 and up at 6.
I love this little filthy, busy boy so much!
He gives the best high fives and open mouth kisses and when he says, "Ma Ma" and I know it's meant towards me I just melt.

I love you Solomon Roy, I LOVE YOU!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
