October in Utah...

BRINGS SNOW!
This past weekend we got SNOW! It came down pretty intense when we dropped Audrey off at work early Saturday morning but none stuck. The mountains were covered. The temperature seems to be coming back up but I'm sure it will take a dip again before we know it. I wanted to include this picture of my first snow in Utah. This is Halloween day 2003. Jake took me to the park to play in the snow for the first time. I still do not like the sound snow makes under my feet. I am excited for Aimi Lark to be able to walk this year and enjoy the snow!

  1. I can't believe it snowed! Lincoln loves that sound, he goes out of his way to walk in snow because he loves it!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
