Family Friday

Last night we went to Park City/Deer Valley to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Utah Symphony perform in an outdoor concert. This was the best family outing we have ever had thus far with our children. I enjoyed it so much! It was a great wholesome family activity that was outside and allowed Aimi Lark to roam around. Jake was an amazing daddy and followed her as she went from group to group of other people sitting in chairs or on blankets. Jake said she seemed to be "trick or treating" because she was going to each group of people and saying "HI" and she was given things such as a bottle of water from one group and chips from another. Audrey, Mali Su and I stayed on our blanket and tried to keep warm. It gets a bit chilly at night in the mountains. We had some great cheeseburgers from the food stand there as well. When it got dark we all cuddled up on the blankets and Mali Su fell asleep as I swayed with her and Aimi Lark sat with Jake and bundled up and enjoyed the show. I think Aimi Lark's favorite part was when everyone would CLAP, she would stop whatever she was doing and CLAP away! The drive home was hard because Jake was tired so he sang some funny/crazy songs to keep himself awake. I hope to continue to have wonderful family experiences like this in the future.Isn't Audrey GORGEOUS!? She came with us after she got off work at "Gunnies"
Thanks Jim and Asunta for the tickets!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
