The vacation continues...

TUESDAY (8/26)

We woke up and had a great bisquit and bacon breakfast. We then spent the day lounging around the house and relaxing. That afternoon we headed to Vidor to meet up with my mom but before doing so we stopped by the Ochoa's and visited my best (girl) friend MARIANNE! We were excited to spend time with her, Jonathan, and Ethan on our first day!Marianne and I are first cousins once removed so Ethan(Marianne's son) and I are second cousins.

I drove out to my mom's house in Kountze/Silsbee after meeting up with her in Vidor and spent awhile with her and some of my siblings before I drove back to Beaumont to get a good night's sleep before our drive to FL.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
