Aimi Lark has hit some major milestones in my eyes. When she is hungry she pulls her bib off the back of the highchair where I hang it and then pushes the highchair out from under the bar and signals in someway to me that she is ready to eat. She can now eat successfully with utensils! She can finish an entire cup of yogurt with a spoon and
eat all her pasta with a fork.
It definitely helps with clean-up after mealtime.
Now remember how I told you that Aimi Lark is comprehending things we say to her? Well now she is doing things all on her own! Earlier in the week I noticed some things not in the trash can but around it. (we keep our trash can in a bottom cabinet with a child lock) I noticed that Aimi Lark was pulling out the cabinet door as far as the child lock would let her and then dropping her trash in there. She is so smart! Yesterday after we had a snack I was in the living room and looked over to see her little hand come up and drop her bowl in the sink! AMAZING! She has also now figured out how to open the refrigerator. The first time she opened it she just stood there and stared in awe. I don't think she knew what to do now that she had it open haha. We will definitely be childproofing some more things in the near future :)

Wow! Silverware! I just don't know what to do about that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a big girl! That's so cute that she wants to be so independent and throw her own trash away. I'm very impressed. (Oh and tell her not to worry about the fridge thing, sometimes I just stand there too. Once I open it, I'm just not sure what to do).
