ENRICHMENT FOR ME



TONIGHT I WENT TO ENRICHMENT WITH JACKIE AND HER WARD WAS MAKING HEADBANDS WITH FLOWERS. I WAS SO EXCITED TO GO WITH HER BECAUSE I LOVE LOVE LOVE HAIR-BOWS/FLOWERS FOR MY GIRLS. IT WAS QUITE SIMPLE TO SEW THE TIGHTS TO MAKE THE HEADBANDS BY CUTTING OFF THE LEG FROM THE TIGHTS AND SEWING THE FOOT PART INTO THE THIGH PART. WE THEN HOT GLUED ON THE FLOWERS. I REALIZE I AM NOT AS GOOD WITH A HOT GLUE GUN AS I THOUGHT! I BURNED MYSELF A FEW TIMES BUT HAD ONE SERIOUS INCIDENT WHERE THE FLOWER GOT STUCK TO MY FINGER AND NOW I HAVE A NICE BLISTER! I MADE MATCHING HEADBAND/FLOWERS FOR BOTH GIRLS FOR ONLY $6... YAY FOR ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES!
(AIMI LARK WAS IN BED WHEN I GOT HOME OR I WOULD HAVE PHOTOGRAPHED THEM TOGETHER...MALI SU WAS UP AND WAITING FOR A LATE DINNER BEFORE BED WHEN I GOT HOME HAHA)

    They look great. I was worried one of mine was WAY too big, so I had to try it on my baby...don't tell anyone. Good news...it fits!

    Thanks for coming, I'm glad you had fun. It turns out good, because Mali Su looks SO cute.

    Those are very cute! And Mali Su looks so cute in them. Way to go making them, Caroline! I probably should have gone because Kenny ended up not getting home until later. Oh well, too late for that. You'll have to teach me.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
