THURSDAY BAKING

ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON I GOT A BIT CARRIED AWAY WITH BAKING. JAKE WANTED ME TO MAKE SOME COOKIES AGAIN AND I WANTED TO MAKE BREAD. SO WHAT DID I DO??? I DID BOTH AND MADE SOME PASTA FOR DINNER AT THE SAME TIME. TALK ABOUT A CHAOTIC KITCHEN! JAKE WAS LATE GETTING HOME BECAUSE HE HAD TO TAKE HIS BROTHER LUKE TO CAMPUS TO TURN IN AN ASSIGNMENT BUT THAT WAS GOOD FOR ME BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TO CLEAN UP THE CHAOS (OF BAKING AND THE GIRLS) BEFORE LUKE, KAYLENE AND JAKE ARRIVED FOR DINNER!







AFTER WE ALL HAD DINNER JAKE ALLOWED AIMI LARK TO HAVE "NAKED COOKIE TIME" WHICH MEANT SHE GOT TO EAT YET ANOTHER COOKIE TO HER HEARTS CONTENT WHILE ONLY WEARING HER DIAPER. WE ALL FOUR HAD A GREAT LAUGH OR TWO OR THREE WATCHING HER DEVOUR HER COOKIE AND SMEAR IT ALL OVER HERSELF FROM HEAD TO BELLY BUTTON.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
