8 WEEKS ON FRIDAY


MALI SU IS JUST ABOUT 8 WEEKS OLD! I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I GAVE BIRTH TO A CHILD EIGHT WEEKS AGO! SHE IS SMILING ALL THE TIME NOW. THIS MORNING SHE WAS DOING HER "GRUNTING" THING AND JAKE WENT TO CHECK ON HER AND HER EYES WERE CLOSED BUT THEN SHE SLIGHTLY OPENED HER EYES AND LOOKED AT HIM AND FLASHED A HUGE SMILE ACROSS HER FACE AND THEN WENT BACK TO SLEEP. HE WAS SO EXCITED THAT SHE SMILED AT HIM! ALSO THIS MORNING WHEN SHE "GRUNTED" FOR HER 4AM FEEDING I GOT UP AND CAME IN THE LIVING ROOM BUT WHEN I WENT TO NURSE HER SHE DID HER "GAG" REFLEX THING THAT SHE NORMALLY DOES WITH THE PACIFIER SO I TOOK HER BACK AND PUT HER IN HER BED AND SHE WAS FINE. SILLY GIRL AND HER GAG REFLEXES...

    I can't believe it has been 8 weeks already either! Holy Cow time is flyin! I bet you're having so much fun though...its nice when they start to show a little personality its my favorite part

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
