Beijing

After our LONG trek I showered and decided to NAP and he was off to WORK.
When we traveled to Chile I discovered I loved ceviche.  Jake took me to the best ceviche I've had since then at a Peruvian restuarant by our hotel.  It doubled as a business meeting.
The next day we attended the Beijing ward for church and it is always a delight to attend church around the world.
More business meetings, but this time with a friend.  He is a convert to our church and has an amazing story of his sister leaving China for school and then bringing home her knowledge of Jesus Christ to her family.  He served a mission for our church in the USA.
More soaking in the tub for me and each time I passed this room I thought of my grandma sellers who was born in 1919.  She loved to make crafts and I loved spending weekends with her at her flea market booth.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
