FT DeSoto State Park (near Tampa, FL)

It was voted #1 beach in the US in 2005.  We weren't impressed with the waves (there were none) but the facilities and the water were fantastic.
The kids were clinging to us like crazy since they couldn't touch.
They are all great swimmers but Mali Su told me in the pool they can hold on to the edge.
So Jake and I took turns being the "edge" of the pool in the ocean.
Solomon did a pretty good job of swimming back and forth to us.
Mali Su has gum in her mouth and is swimming with it open to Jake.  Silly girl.
He had some "I don't want to do this" moments.  His poor chin got all raw from his floatie.
After dolphins swam by (that I thought was a shark) the kids jumped off Jake's shoulders.

I love the beach.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
