Another Phone Dump (way too soon)

I finally setup my desktop computer so I should have normal posts back up soon.
I deleted all the photos on my phone but before I did I emailed what I had.
We had dinner with my Berryhill family in TX.
For 4th of July we had a big group over.
Brody posted this picture from back in Key West.
Cheddars dinner in TX with Marianne and Kayla.
On the beach in Key West with my needy baby boy, Solomon.
My kids love to cuddle and I love the sweetness of it all.  I feel blessed to be home with them each day.
 The kids love the kindles.
I love family movie outings and this handsome son.
I had never seen my high school graduation picture til recently when a friend sent it to me.
I heard Mali Su caring for Solomon from the other room and cried "happy tears."
Jake did portraits of the kids.
It's like Christmas when we go to the bank.  The kids love these little suckers.
We have a PO Box now and it reminds me of growing up in Starks, LA for a while.
I went to the grocery store alone, it was like a date with myself, so enjoyable.
I haven't been the best about making lots of close friends in Orlando but I've got a few and love that we can call on each other in time of need.
Daddy went on a lizard catching frenzy recently.  He even caught a baby one.  He said he's good at catching them without hurting them because they used to catch them in the creek bed by their house in Lockwood Valley, CA.
We went to the beach for Labor Day.  I love driving in the car with Jake.  We talk and talk and talk.  We have done this since we were first married.  We never turn down the opportunity for a good road trip.
My favorite family picture any of my kids have drawn.  I think it might be that she included Zelda and put Solomon on my hip.  Thanks Mali Su.
My knight in shining armor came home with this one night when law school was canceled.  I love when law school cancels.  Jake and I both have some senior-itis.
It was open house at the girls' school.  I wondered why they were so excited when I said YES that we could go.  They squealed with delight and said they'd get a treasure box prize for going.  I would have rather taken them to the local dollar store if I'd known that's why they wanted to go (joking...kinda).
My cute kiddos.
Reading a book,
What the boys do all day every single day.
Daddy came home from soldier lake and they played dress up.
Sometimes doing hair goes perfectly and the boys play and the Moms talk.  Malachi is busy collecting these toys that make a big power ranger (they come in the $2 happy meals).
Jake took his CAPTAIN PLANET lunch bag from his Mom to work.  He used this as a kid and he told me about the time he hoarded so much cool food for a school field trip lunch to take so that all the other kids would think he had the coolest lunch.
These girls are so silly and sweet and great sisters.  I am so glad they aren't fighting sisters but friends sisters.
We went and visited Daddy at his school for open house.  We seemed to overstay our welcome as the kids made things a bit messy and crazy.

Watching her do math
Counting on her fingers
She does it different than me
Three on each hand instead of five and one like me to make six.

I really like this show.  They had it at REDBOX (a machine that dispenses DVDs and Blu-rays) and I enjoyed some TV time while Jake was at school.
I spilled a bowl of queso all over myself (yes I got burned) and all over the floor and stove.  Luckily Zelda was quick to help with clean up.
We always enjoy the sky writing about the love of Jesus.  I wonder what it costs this pilot in gas to do such missionary work?
We had to pick Aimi Lark up from school with an ear ache and stopped to get some little treats on the way home.
I am still working on unpacking our home.  I am trying to dejunk even more now that we're moving in.  It's exhausting.  Living in this home before we got our stuff from storage put into perspective just how easily we could live with the very basics and only two bedrooms (the upstairs AC was out).

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
