Friends are Important (Citrus Ridge Ward)

(baby shower for 3 sweet ladies in our ward)
In our Citrus Ridge ward it's taken us longer than any other ward I feel like to really settle in.  I love all these ladies and have made some pretty darn good friends.  The comfort level of this ward is amazing.  The amount of help everyone gives AND receives is amazing.  I feel like this is truly the first place I've seen people willingly asking for help because they know that it will be there.  No one is taking advantage.  It is the perfect setup.  We have a ward Facebook group for the sisters and within minutes of someone posting they need a ride to the airport or a sitter so they can do girls' camp stuff it's covered.  People serving people.  What a wonderful thing!

Now these ladies on the other hand.  Not sure how our friendship grew so fast but it did.  They are hilarious and we are all quite different and in different stages of life but it works and it works well.
We keep having these semi-spur of the moment "girls' nights" at Ashlynn's house.
This one we worked on stuff for Girls' Camp.
(and ate and talked and laughed)
 Friendships know no age.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
