The guys went for a run a couple of nights. Then they talked into the wee hours of the morning.
(this is the laugh (it's hilarious and shocking when you've never heard it before) he did when we were dating at a movie theater on a double date with his brother Nate and my roommate Ashley)
They visited this tunnel that I think was supposed to be for a train but the work got stopped by the civil war. Jake said it was a gorgeous sight with the light at the end of the tunnel like you hear about people speaking of in near death experiences.
Jake and Marlyse sing in the tunnel.
Batting cages are always fun for guys (and girls Marlyse did it too!).
Marlyse emailed me this:
"Btw Kenny just said, "we don't need an amusement park, we have jake!"
He went from playing with hadley to all the kids"
Shooting in the backyard, another reason I love the south, or rural living.
Marlyse called this the "redneck store" and Jake made sure to educate me about flags of the confederacy (like I didn't already know, silly husband).
Marlyse told me he said he was putting his arms out for me in this picture. He has a history of pictures like this and I love them.
My photos are all out of order, they did go and see an actual working water/corn mill.
I am so glad Jake got to spend some time with his best friend, Kenny, and his family in South Carolina.
Friends are important and Jake picked a good one back in Frazier Park, CA.

This makes me smile! It was so much fun!
