ST AUGUSTINE Bed and Breakfast

We were ever so fortunate to be given the opportunity to go to this bed and breakfast in St. Augustine for FREE and since the gift certificate expired this month and Jake had off for Martin Luther King weekend we went.  We had a great 23 hours away.  I am so grateful to Ben and Lyric for babysitting our babies for us (especially so last minute).
I love this hardworking man of mine.  I will say I never knew love could be like this.  I don't come from a family history of successful marriages so nine years with this man has opened a whole new world to me.
Our kids were just as kids should be when we picked them up.  They were filthy and playing outside.  I am a Mom who supports kids getting dirty and playing outside so props to Ben and Lyric!  These boys were out like a light before we even hit the freeway.
I love to live life and have as many experiences as I can and this was another one of those (free/cheap/live like a tourist where you are) experiences.
Until our next adventure...

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
