Mali Su is 5 (on Friday)

 but since Daddy has Army stuff on her actual day we celebrated early.  She of course didn't mind one bit!
 She LOVES technology.  She has now discovered the XBOX and all the Netflix kids and video games can offer her.  I love listening to her laugh, she loves to laugh these days.  She will make jokes with Aimi Lark and giggle non-stop.   She's a great dancer to her new found favorite show "The Fresh Beat Band."
Look who is (almost) FIVE! 

 She has been asking for a Costco rose cake for her birthday for as long as I can remember.  She was so excited (and I was excited it said Happy Birthday on it, they normally say BEST WISHES).
 She wanted Chick Fil A for lunch and they gave her a cow on a balloon.  She was EXCITED!
 We took her to Toys R Us (I wanted to get her a kid sized XBOX controller).  We were planning on letting her shop for her present but she insisted she wanted this MICKEY MOUSE brand new XBOX game.  No amount of persuasion worked, she wanted XBOX stuff.
 For dinner we went to CiCi's pizza with the missionaries for her birthday dinner.  People at the table next to us asked about her name (2 names or 1) and told her Happy Birthday.  Then they left and came back with pretty headbands and a birthday ballon for her.  Talk about a random act of kindness!  This showed me I could be more friendly to my fellow man for sure!
 Jake thought the roses on this cake were so beautiful.  Icing work is an art for sure!  (side note:  that candle may have been used for Aimi Lark turning 5 AND Solomon turning 1 and those 4 star candles are from last year)

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
