I have a head cold.
I took two Tylenol PM last night and thought I'd wake up without a pounding headache.  I was wrong.
Solomon is always messy.
Solomon is always breaking something.
Solomon broke the leappad today, I am so mad.
I keep feeling like if I just wasn't multitasking and just kept my eyes on them 24-7 these things wouldn't happen.
I keep blaming myself for all these little slip ups lately and it's getting to me.
If I don't multi task how will things be clean?  or meals made?  or or or or...
I'm doing another feel great in eight and it's hard work adjusting my calories back down. I had really fallen off the wagon.  I was just tired of feeling full all the time, it was kinda disgusting, and didn't feel healthy.
I am so mad that within a week Solomon has flushed $400 down the drain between his glasses and the leappad.  I do not remember any of my other children being responsible for this much damage.  But then again none of my other children were given that much responsibility at 18 months old so maybe I should cut him some slack.  Maybe I should have stuck to my guns on the "leappad stays in the girls room" rule instead of this morning letting Solomon sit in the chair in the living room with it.
Maybe this is enough negativity for one post?
I think so.
I think I'll go do the dishes.

  1. I completely relate. I constantly feel like if i just sit down and played with my boys all day they would be happier but then how do I make meals, clean, pay bills, etc. I do keep trying to just play and be on their level but it is a hard balance. Just hope you know you are not alone. You are an incredible mom. You inspire me. Love and miss you! Hang in there!

  2. As my sweet son , Marcus, once said(at age 3), "Every day can't be a 'fritty' day!" Sorry your day wasn't as pretty as you hoped it would be. Sometimes a little venting can do wonders though so thanks for sharing.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
