He has been one sick little boy.
Lots of fevers, runny nose, and plenty of wanting to cuddle Mommy.
Now I'm sick, but that happens with my job as sick baby cuddler and nose wiper.
The fevers did wear off from time to time and he had a little fun.
He was good about being passed off to others for comfort when I needed to get him some medicine or go to the bathroom.
Sleep was not something that happened very often, but when it did we all sang hallelujah.
We had finally had enough and took him to urgent care on Sunday.
The doctor told me it was just a virus. I admit I prayed that it wouldn't be anything, but when I was told it was just a virus I was a bit bummed. Sometimes I think it would just be easier to be told what is causing your baby to be so sick.
Instead of being told, he's just sick.
His fever is done with but his nose is like a faucet that has been left running. He has a red little Rudolph nose and I feel so bad for him! With the fever gone he's been a little more playful, but usually just as pitiful.
He got his new glasses but they aren't going to work for us. Hinges on baby glasses are no good. I have ordered him a new pair like the ones he had before but for way cheaper. Until then we're making it work with these. He's twisted them all up but somehow they now fit better and have stopped sliding down his nose.
He loves to brush his teeth. He now has a new approach, the stool isn't his style anymore. He just climbs right up in the sink.
I love this little 18 month old.
I love how excited he gets to go on walks.
I love how he cuddles with me.
He has the cutest wave.
I love how he now grabs my head from behind with both hands and pulls me into kiss.
He will wrap his arms around my neck and cuddle up really close and really tightly. It's almost like he can't get close enough to me so he keeps burrowing his head into my shoulder and pulling me close.
He is quite clumsy.
He slept through the night again, first time since being sick.
I am so glad he's on the mend!
We love you Solomon Roy.
I wanted to add in that he says, "Press Play" and "Over" at movies just like his siblings. He gets very worked up over it sometimes. He thinks whenever there are words on the screen he should yell out, "Peh Peh."
He will yell out when in the car, "MA MA!" until I answer. Then he will speak gibberish and I will give an affirmative that I heard him. This game will go on for HOURS.
He will come over and say, "Ma Ma" speak gibberish, point in the direction of his siblings, I'll say something, anything back to him and he runs off happily.
He will say, "THANK YOU" over and over until you tell him, "You're Welcome."
As you can tell, he needs positive reinforcement.
Such a sweet boy.
