We ate, a lot.
We decorated sugar cookies.
The little kids played together.
The adults played board games.
We ate LOTS of cereal.
Some people went on runs, very LONG runs.
We had a girls' night while the guys went to the Priesthood Session of General Conference for our church. It was an "As Seen on TV" (white elephant style) party. We had 12 ladies and about a million kids.
Solomon was taken care of during his time of need.
We had a fancy Sunday breakfast of waffles, fresh fruit toppings, whipped cream, bacon, and eggs. Jake's choosing and it was a hit. I overheard Jake saying that he was impressed that nothing got burnt. I don't recall burning much in our marriage, but I am sure I was a sight in the kitchen juggling all those skillets on the stove.
The kids didn't like only the adults playing board games so they got in on the action.
During conference Jake took all the kids with him. They started out like this,
and ended up like this.
These little ones stayed awake.
Jake's "man cave" in the making. Right now it's just a shell that holds his TV, XBOX, recliner, and my computer desk.
More conference cuddling.
These girls used their "As Seen on TV" boom cube to attach to their smart phone to listen to conference in bed.
I love this picture of them during general conference, so sweet!
Settlers with a MEGA expansion set. It was longer than monopoly. I made 4 batches of cookies that were quickly devoured.
Little Link sleeps.
The kids made this all on their own, they were on a bus. We then sang "The Wheels on the bus..." song. It was perfect.
The Lubbens brought their iPads and the kids were in HEAVEN. Aimi Lark asked for one, we just might be in trouble now.
Saying goodbye is never fun, but I know it's always nice to get back home and nice to get your own home back in order after visitors.
Thanks for coming Shillig 1s and Lubbens!
Love y'all!
