Brody's 14th Birthday Dinner

I interviewed Brody as we ate.  Here is what we found out.
Favorite Color:  BLUE

What does he want to be when he grows up? Pilot
Favorite Food:  Pizza
Restaurant:  Red Lobster
Drink:  Dr. Pepper
Dessert:  Strawberry Cheesecake
Sport:  Football
Song:  Crazy Girl by Eli Young Band
TV Show:  Bomb Patrol Afghanistan
Place he's been:  Snowboarding in Utah
Place he wants to visit:  Pearl Harbor Hawaii

We all shared what we love about Brody.
Jake loves how well Brody cares for his things.  He doesn't lose them and he keeps them nice.  Jake said it shows how grateful Brody is.
Aimi Lark said she likes how he plays the "plug the holes game" (on XBOX kinect).
Mali Su said she loves when they play puzzles.
My mom said she loves how they share similar interests in music (old rock and country) and they both have a silly sense of humor.
Malachi said, "blue."
I said I love Brody's kind heart.  His kind heart carries over into who he is as a person, how he treats others, and his willingness to serve.

Brody we love you!  Happy 14th Birthday!

    Awww how fun! That cheesecake looks delicious! Tell Brody the thing I love about him is he is so good! He is so white and black. He follows the rules and does what he is suppose to do, no questions about it. I've always been impressed with his sweet testimony. When he got baptized you could tell from the moment on that he was going to live the gospel to the fullest and I've always admired that about him. He is so good to the kids and He is going to make a great Missionary and then Father one day! I love you Brody!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
