My attempts at being crafty...

Above is the chair for the desk in the girls' room.  My friend Katie (along with her fancy staple gun) helped me recover the tattered chair.  I think it turned out quite lovely.  Using an air-compressor powered nail gun was fun too.

Across from my office through double doors is the best room in the house, our playroom.
This was me just throwing things on the shelves so I could show off our MUSEUM of ART wall I made using Katie's fancy machine.
I love the TV in there.  It was a freebie from when Jake helped our Bishop in our old Orlando ward move.  They didn't want it so we happily took it.  The sound on it is awesome.
I'm not loving the twine but I'm LOVING the sign.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
