Why

did Christmas come EXTRA early this year you ask?
Well we will be leaving as soon as the boys are out of school for a nice LONG 2 weeks in TEXAS.
Since Jake has drill this weekend, when we originally planned on doing Christmas, we just got all spontaneous and celebrated early.
We wanted the little kids and the boys to be able to play their hearts out on their gifts before we go.
We also didn't want to haul the gifts to and from TX.
I have lots of family so we will be visiting our hearts out between now and New Year's.
Did I mention Brody's birthday is on Sunday? 
Oh this month is so much fun!

    Great idea. I cannot imagine hauling that kitchen from Florida to Texas not to mention all the normal stuff you have to take with you. I am going to be coming to Orlando to visit my Mom! Can't wait to see all the cool stuff that you and she talk about.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
