Aimi Lark is 12 Years, 9 Months, 8 Days

Above is her 7th grade Fall school photo.

Aimi Lark is still our peace keeping kindhearted girl.  She is in all the "smart" classes at school, loves her Spanish class (that she's at the top of), has a part in the Lion King play as a lioness, and is busy with athletics every morning.

She is knitting away in preparation for Leila Jin and even surprised us by learning how to make her a beanie!  She is also busy trying to finish up Personal Progress from church before the program goes away in December to make way for a new program in January 2020.

She had the opportunity to go down to Vidor with Daddy to work on mucking out our flooded Vidor house.  She loved the "date" with Dad even if it was yucky and moldy.

She is such a sweet girl and I am so grateful she is my daughter.  I love her!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
