Solomon turned 4 on April 6th

Solomon is funny
He takes Daddy "torturing" him like a champ
He tells Mommy to "talk normal" when she is being silly with him
He says "I hope..." when he prays
He is my little buddy at home each day while the other three are at school
He asks for a treat when we are running errands if he's good
Aimi Lark is good about taking care of him
He loves to play with legos
He loves soft cuddly toys with sparkly eyes, most of all leopards
He says he wants to be a soldier doctor when he grows up
He asked me why his birthday was only one day and then I told him everyone's was but he could have cupcakes for breakfast and play with his balloons he then asked, "but who will play with me?" and I told him Zelda to which he replied almost appalled at the idea, "but she will pop them!"

He went shopping on his birthday and got a HULK BUSTER IRON MAN and had Cafe Rio for lunch where he devoured this cake.
I love this birthday boy and I am so grateful to be his mother.  He is busy and strong and loving and cuddly.

Happy Birthday, Sol Roy!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
