Marianne and Caroline in LA

I recently had a little getaway with my cousin/best friend, Marianne.
After some breakfast we stopped by the stunning Los Angeles LDS Temple.  It is smack dab in the middle of the city (but wasn't when it was built).
The grounds are beautiful and Marianne thought this looked like it was right out of a movie.
The Getty Museum was next on our list.
The views and exhibits were great to see.
We were finally able to get on an elevator so we celebrated.  There were so many school groups!  I had to say "be careful" in both Chinese and Spanish to different groups of kids.
Our next stop was the fancy Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills but we got lost and stumbled across our hometown name on a street sign!
Rodeo Drive was fancy for sure.
We were finally able to check into our fancy hotel with a view that Jake reserved for us.
We rounded out the night with some In N Out.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
