I have a three hour drive to "drill" where my husband is and YES I will let my kids watch movies the entire drive.
That's how I roll.

    YES!! Exactly. Mothering is a tough job and there are a lot of different ways to do it. And you are a GREAT mom - I hope that no one has been telling you different. :-)

    I decided awhile ago to stop caring and i have realized i think some people judge less than i thought they did. Sure...i still get awesome looks when braxton is throwing a fit in the middle of the store and the target photo girl sure had tons of advice on parenting for me. But, in general, i find that when i am focused on my kids and what they think, i care less about what others think and i seem to notice more supportive glances of empathy coming my way. People are like predators...they sense fear!!! :) love the quotes. Go you :) and ps...my kids always watch movies in the car. Always. Safer for me that way as a driver...right?!!!!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
