I promise I'm still seeing the positive in life, but tonight I feel so emotionally drained.
I had a "mother of the year" moment tonight with Solomon.
I presented Brody with two choices for what to do with his weekend and my heart broke into a million pieces when he didn't go with my ideal choice.
I don't feel I am disciplining my children as effectively as I could be, and it doesn't help when those on the outside looking in let you know it.
My body aches and my chest hurts, I'm pretty sure I have some kind of nursing infection.

I'm tired, oh so very tired.
Crying will take that out of you especially when you didn't get a nap, and got maybe 5 hours of sleep the night before.
I'm hoping to go to bed right now, wake up refreshed, happy, and get to church on time (looking gorgeous) with the kids (all by myself).
I can dream right?
But, before I go here are some pictures from our afternoon. We went to our neighbor's daughter's 1st birthday party. All I can say is that Latins know how to party (and all the women wear cute high heals)! Now that I think about it so do Polynesians (minus the heals). Come on white people, step up your game. I also have to admit I love seeing Jake be able to use his languages. First with a Chinese family at the 4th of July breakfast and then Spanish at the party with the birthday girl's entire family.
Goodnight y'all.
Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry! My heart really goes out to you. I have felt moments like those but I can't imagine exactly what you're going through. It looks hard and it is hard. I love you so much. Do you even have my phone number? I remember taking 7 kids to church alone and everywhere else while my husband was in the bishopric/bishop. Instead of help, people wouldn't sit by us when I had the three hopeful-to-adopt little boys that were even crazier than my biologicals. I always tell myself "It's the hard that makes it great." Can't say it changes the hard but its true. Be kind to yourself! If you are sick you may not be able to make it to church and that's okay. Take care of yourself! I love you.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know that you are doing a wonderful job as a mom!!! You are amazing and are always optimistic. Love you and am so grateful for your incredible example as a mother and a friend!!
ReplyDeleteCaroline you are a supermom. I have days like that a LOT more then I would like to admit and I do not handle it as classy as you do. You are an amazing example of motherhood to everyone and I can't imagine doing all the things that you are doing.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry!!! I just wanted you to know that I think you are an amazing Mom!!! Love you!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm sorry I'm so behind that I'm just now reading this. Do you have mastitis? Or is it better? I know you had a great Sunday at Church, so I guess things are better. I hope so! I love you!
