The way I live my life

I got an email from someone recently with this sentence as part of it.
When I read it, it made me happy, it expressed just the way I feel about my life.
"I am so happy that you make all your circumstances something to learn from and enjoy.
It is a great way to take on life."
My life is not perfect.
I do not think I am perfect.
Nor do I think anyone else or their life is perfect.
I try not to compare my worst to the best of someone else.
I am truly happy though and grateful for this life I live.
I choose to see things in the most positive light I can.
I do not blog to try and put on a front of perfection.
I blog so that my family and I can look back upon our memories fondly.
I truly blog the way I see our life.
Happy.
Content.
 A work in progress.

  1. That is the best way to look a things. I think also if you are happy for people in their best times, it makes your life happier.

  2. Attitude and perspective is what can make the imperfectness of people and situations perfect!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
