My Nana

Norma Eulalah Edwards Wilhite
was born September 23, 1930 in Lowel, Benton Co., Arkansas.
She married Murray Elliott Wilhite in Brooksville, FL on January 5, 1947.
My Nana is what I can only describe as the textbook Nana.
She is soft spoken, kind, patient, giving, and loving.
She has a strong belief in Jesus Christ and taught me to keep the Sabbath day holy.
She cooks healthy, well-rounded meals.
She taught me to bake and the love of homemade bread.
She taught me to cook with cast iron, and now I love it.
She can sing beautifully and play the piano perfectly.
She taught me to make crafty things with lace and a glue gun.
She always kept a beautifully decorated home full of pretty things.
She is smart and continually learning new things.
She emails and reads my blog.
She has perfect eyesight and hearing.
She is in perfect health.
She is an exquisite dresser, as a girl I loved her belts, suits, and shoes.
She puts on her stockings with gloves as to not snag them.
I love her in the color pink, it goes so lovely with her hair and gentle and feminine spirit.
She taught me to be modest and a lady.
She taught me to love nature.
Hummingbird feeders, bird baths, and binoculars by the kitchen window helped me appreciate the great outdoors.
She exposed me to my favorite flower, the Daylily and stargazer lilies.
As a girl I wanted so badly to see a Daylily bloom, she had them planted in the front yard.
She taught me unknowingly that marriage is wonderful, marriage is not always easy, marriage is hard work, but marriage is wonderful and worth it.
I am so grateful that I have had the influence of my Nana and other great women in my life.

I feel so blessed.

Happy 80th Birthday
Nana
We love you with all our hearts!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
