Josh put this as his facebook status (as we all drove around waiting to pick up Jake after drill yesterday) and it cracked me up!

"we are gonna keep drive'n around so baby malachi doesn't have a cow"-caroline. "where is baby malachi's cow??" -aimi lark

There is always so much going on around here. I am in awe and inspired by all you moms out there who have large families and accomplish it all! Thank you for your example. I told Jake yesterday I don't even know anymore how to get out the door on my own. Either he is there to help or one of our older "kids" is.Also the other morning I needed to run Jake to his carpool spot for drill (leaving everyone sleeping) and when I came home I found this:The kids woke up and Uncle Brody let them play the game with him while Kayla, Beau, and Aimi Lark slept.

The little kids do not have any official chores yet but we they are always eager to help.
I love when the kids discover a new "toy" in our house. The other day it was Jake's weights. Life is good...

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
