Day 3 of our VEGAS VACATION

We did quite a bit of wandering around town.

We started off by hitting up the site of the show we enjoy in our house
Pawn Stars on the History Channel.
To our surprise and the boys excitement we pulled in the parking lot and saw the "Old Man's" car that they showed restored on the show. We all then went in to browse the store (a perfect Valentine's Day activity). It surprised the boys how small things were in comparison to on TV, amazing to me what they can do with editing and video cameras! To our surprise we saw "the old man" and Rick! The boys even got pictures. It was definitely a great way to start our day.
We then checked out the run down and overpriced stratosphere. Not on our list of places to visit while in Vegas. With our record for the day being 1 hit (Pawn Stars) and 1 miss (Stratosphere) we headed over to Caesars Palace where we enjoyed a show about the sinking of Atlantis and visited their aquarium.
After Caesars we headed to City Center. This was the place Jake had been most excited to visit. Jake loves new/modern things and this is the newest place on the strip at the moment. It was a huge mall, residential complex, had a tram, you name it! The boys enjoyed some of the Chinese New Year's Dragons. Not only was it Valentine's weekend in Vegas but it was Chinese New Year celebration time.
Inside the City Center mall there were fun water features that the kids enjoyed.
Mali Su was asleep and so we just let Aimi Lark play.
At one point she showed us how she could swing.
Jake loved all the architecture and I thought these were really pretty pink steps.
The outside of the entrance was covered in this HUGE water feature.
Here is a small glimpse of the expansive City Center area.
We then walked around the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. The girls saw this little guy and said "take our picture" and then Mali Su accidentally pulled off part of the red on the guy's mouth...oops.
We once again napped and the boys swam before being rushed out (due to our room being cleaned and sadly I was in my "comfy" clothes) and returning to the strip to see the Bellagio water show and reminisce about our honeymoon in the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas 6 years ago on Feb. 19.
We were all tuckered out after this LONG day of activities but made sure to stop off for a quick photo op.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
