An Exciting Evening!

Jake got home from work to find hanging from the light by our mailboxes
HIS DIPLOMA FROM BYU! Opening it was extra exciting (he has been waiting weeks for it to arrive). Our sister in law Kaylene received her diploma way before Jake and for awhile we were worried BYU had sent it to Jake's parent's house. We were so excited to frame it and hang it with his Associate of Arts in Chinese-Mandarin from DLI. 2 degrees down and more to come I'm sure. After the excitement of the DEGREE we woke up a sleeping Aimi Lark and then picked up dinner of IN-N-OUT for our friends the Wallentines (we met them while both attending DLI in CA so it was only fitting) and met their new baby
ALLISON RAE!
We came home and watched a movie with Kayla and Josh.
I was exhausted and fell asleep during the movie.
Jake carried me to bed.
I love when he does that.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
