Las Vegas, NV to Lockwood Valley, CA

Jake is from a beautiful mountainous community in southern CA. It was so wonderful to see him show off his home to my brothers and our children when we arrived. He made sure everyone got the FULL country living experience...trampoline, playing in the dirt, shooting guns, and of course no shoes required. It made me happy to see Jake in his own element unlike I have ever seen before. We have visited his home many times over the course of our marriage and I have never seen him so excited. I think it made him remember his childhood to see his girls exploring "the farm" just as he did as a kid.
Mali Su really loved this dog Jake's family has. When we visited at Christmas this pit bull worried me a bit but on this trip (I still kept my guard up) but loved to watch all the kids play with "Baby" and she be ever so patient and kind.

Later that evening we all met up for dinner and then to Alaina's 3rd birthday family party of cupcakes and fun! I loved watching the kids play together. Cousins really are the best playmates!
And who can pass up having Grammie put baby Malachi to sleep? He loved it!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
