Today Jake started his busiest/last semester at BYU.
He is working full time, going to school full time (16 credits), has ROTC, and National Guard commitments. He made up a schedule for himself today and when he gave me a copy I saw that he has 12-14hr days 5 days a week starting at 5am. I am so proud of all he is able to accomplish. The kids and I are being supportive by taking Jake to school mid-day so he does not have to leave work early in order to make it to school on time. The kids and I played outside
(and Aimi Lark and Mali Su practiced taking pictures with the camera)
while waiting for Jake but only after we colored!
I am trying more and more to let the kids do things that could possibly make messes. We still only use colored pencils because those wipe off the counter easily. Good luck Daddy with everything you have to do. We love you and are here to help in any way we can!!!
Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.
I had to laugh cause I know you're trying to let go when it comes to kid-mess. I was thinking, you don't really have to try. They're getting older and you don't have enough hands/eyes to keep track of them. It will tumble out of control on its own!
ReplyDeleteBut I know the feeling; I'm still psycho about letting the crayons out of the cupboard. Thankfully, they all go to school to get it out of their system so I don't feel like I'm depriving them.
