Potty Time!

Jake has wanted to potty train Aimi Lark since she was about a YEAR old! I have been able to put him off until this weekend. He tried so hard to potty train her on Saturday and Sunday but I think until she can cognitively understand what is happening we are up a creek. Jake also told me he had to find her the BEST and most FUN potty so she would LOVE to go on it. Here are some pictures of his efforts... (this is the face Aimi Lark did to imitate Jake's face as he tried to express to her how to go #2)

Pumpkin Patch...

I have been wanting to go to any pumpkin patch for about a MONTH now. I am so excited for all the fall holiday activities and this is one of them! We ended up going to one in Orem this year with the Keetons and my cousin Kayla and it was more of a carnival/petting zoo/corn maze or sorts. Aimi Lark loved the jump house/slide and Jake loved eating/sampling all the patch had to offer. Remember how I mentioned it was COLD here in Utah... well it warmed up so my girls cute track suits turned into onesies and track pants after the sun began to bake them. We made it through the corn maze and found the witch and "secret word" and were able to get back out thanks to Kenny's corn trail. our sixth attempt at a decent family picture... I truly love family outings. It may take a ton of work to get there and I as the mom stress too much over the little things but in the end it is SO WORTH IT!

Temple Date Night

We were so blessed to be able to attend the Provo LDS Temple on Friday night. We went on a double date with Luke and Kaylene. Kayla and Audrey hung out here with the girls as they slept. I am so grateful to have the Temple so close by and to have such sweet ladies to watch our girls!

We love the OFFICE!

Last night we had some friends over to watch the OFFICE and the BYU game (but we won't talk about that) We enjoyed good food and some good laughs. Aimi Lark loved cuddling with me on the couch last night. Jake's friend taught her to give "knuks, bones, fists" whatever you call it where you basically give high five with your fists. Aimi Lark also ran around with her fingers in her ears for who knows why? I think she liked singing/talking with her fingers in her ears b/c it sounded different.

High Chair Adventures

Aimi Lark has had some fun in her highchair the last two days. Yesterday morning she too got to have a new sippy with her favorite drink, Carnation Instant Breakfast. That afternoon she fell asleep in her highchair after an eventful play day while eating her yogurt. Lastly this morning she ate cereal with milk and a spoon! She did so well! Jake then told me that he had fed her that way before so I guess my excitement wasn't necessary since it wasn't technically a "first" for her.

trying new things...

So my dear Mali Su is weaning herself. I am trying all I can to continue to nurse her but I am at the point where I do realize she needs more than one nursing a day! I have tried every bottle and sippy cup under the sun and still no go. Here she is yesterday morning with a new cup.

the little mama...

I just love how sweet she is! She is my little helper. I love watching her learn and grow everyday.
