Fall 2023 School Pics

Solomon is in 7th grade and is the easiest when it comes to school work.  We don't know when he does his homework, but he does and keeps all As.  He is in tennis this year instead of football since he broke his back skiing last Christmas.  We have decided it's just not worth the risk for his life.

Malachi is in 9th grade at the high school.  He insists he smiled for his photo they just didn't take the picture when he was.  He is doing so much better than 8th grade and I'm so glad.  He has a good variety of classes, plays football, and wants to take culinary arts or aviation mechanic for his vocation.

Mali Su is in 11th grade.  She does cheer, cosmetology, and will get her license in February.  She is in National Honor Society and both girls teach a special needs cheer team each fall.  She works for Dad as a legal assistant/paralegal and is getting so good!  Teaching Cub is a side gig of hers that I love.

Aimi Lark is in 11th grade and like Mali Su has cosmetology and cheer taking up her schedule.  She also does Spanish Club and National Honor Society.  She drives the high schoolers to seminary and school each day.  She also helps at Dad's office to fill out immigration paperwork for clients.  Collecting barbies and legos keeps her young.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
