December has come and is on it's way out and I am feeling left in the dust.
I had started November 1st talking about "gratitude day 1" and Halloween and here I am sharing a couple pictures from yesterday at church where the kids sang their Christmas song during Sacrament meeting. Aimi Lark's last primary performance, she turns 12 on the 26th. She was a good foot taller than everyone else so I would say it's perfect timing for her to advance.
We have setup Christmas in our Hurst Home and love all the joy that it has brought into our hearts. The kids asked for a traditional at home Christmas and we are trying to do just that.
I am so grateful for our life here in Dallas/Fort Worth. I know that the last year was a whirlwind adjusting to "normal" after years of law school, moves, Harvey, etc. and I am more than excited for some "normalcy" in the upcoming years. We need it. Our kids need it. I think it will be good for us all. We can't follow my "gypsy bone" forever.
(Aimi Lark did not like Mali Su putting her arms around her to be taller and Mali Su didn't understand how it's ok when Aimi Lark does it. I had to explain that when a taller person puts their arm around you it doesn't weigh on you like when a short person does it. That is why we only got those two "candid" pictures because then everyone was too frustrated for a posed one.)
As we prepare for visitors and wrap up our work/school week I am excited.
I was admittedly not excited to not be traveling to see extended family or more ideally go skiing, but now I am ready to settle in, relax, and enjoy!
Merry Christmas, y'all!
