Aimi Lark at the San Diego Temple

She was the most joyous and happy girl as soon as we hit the grounds. She skipped around in glee and I was full of joy!

She loved the nativity & it's easy to see why, it's BEAUTIFUL!

As always in California it was a bit chilly so Aimi Lark wore Daddy's jacket and I thought it was the sweetest thing as we walked up to the temple to see more.

My favorite part of the Temple is always the wording on the outside, "The House of the Lord, Holiness to the Lord" so we took a picture of that, too.

As we were leaving we took one last photo. I had such a sacred experience with these two in the temple. I am so grateful for Aimi Lark's desire to go to San Diego to the temple. It has started a tradition in our family that I want to have forever. It's such a special experience to go on "dates" with each of my children. I am so lucky and blessed to be their mother and his wife. I felt whole in the temple & that was the only word I could find to fit how I felt when Jake asked afterward. Aimi Lark said she loved the warm water and how it felt like the Spirit wrapping around you. She really loved the name of one of my ancestors, Effie Jordan. She talked about giving her a big hug when she meets her in Heaven. I love her. I love the Temple. I love my family!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween! Possibly ever! Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully. He even had the cutest song he sang. I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
