Day 2 of Back to School

It seems like everyone had a great day 1.
The girls' school posts pictures to their Facebook page & it made me happy to see updates through the day by scanning the pictures they'd post for a big bow on top of a head to know it was my sweet girl.  I love that they are still confident being themselves.
Daddy made sure and filled out all their paperwork.
I helped them lay out clothes and organize rooms.
And last night it was hard for me to fall asleep (so Jake and I stayed up way too late chatting) and I wake up each morning before my alarm ready for the day & helping them get ready.
I am so grateful for their schools & know that we made a good choice.
I still wish I could be home with them as little kids again, but I insist that I embrace each time and season and not long for days gone by or wish for better ones ahead.
I love the HERE and NOW and love my husband and babies.
Day 2 is gonna rock!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
