Back to School

Solomon asked for a picture with Zelda so we did one inside (bad lighting) and outside (better lighting).  That Zelda pic was the first and only one I took, I think she's learned to pose.

Aimi Lark and Mali Su are headed to 6th grade.
Malachi is in 4th grade and Solomon in 2nd.

They seem excited and thanks to a last minute shopping trip they have new snazzy shoes, too!

I feel so blessed that they are able to now go to a great school.  After our experience at the terrible school in Arlington I am grateful we are here.  It is a blessing I do not take for granted that I can choose my children's school & make sure they receive a safe and well-rounded education.

I am so happy they are happy.
I am so happy to give them a stable home.
And as Jake says I hope they continue to be "spoiled fresh"
(the opposite of spoiled rotten)

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
