Malachi is 9!

He seems so much older than 9 to me, but at the same time 9 fits just right.  He had his friend party and asked for it to be in our back yard.  We worked hard to get the pool ready for the big day.  We made invitations and he passed them out at church and school.  He was such a sweet brother and told each sibling they could bring a friend too.  My friend Beth from our Orlando days and my Mom helped tremendously when it came to food serving.  Delaney and Beth’s son pulled lifeguard duty & I tried to visit everyone I could, like the Huntzingers who came as well.  Jake ended up having to work and got there just as the party was ending.  It was a perfect 9th birthday and I am so in love with our house having the room and ability to host things just like this.

Malachi is very lovable, gets frustrated easily, is working on his posture, enjoys sports (and is good at them), is taller than his older sister, is a great swimmer and LEGO builder, and has the best hair.  Malachi we love you!  We love everything about you!
You are just the sweetest!
I love your hugs and being your mother!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
