Becoming UnHomeless

Each day we get better at this whole "homeless" gig.
We are SO BLESSED to live with friends from church.
We are SO BLESSED to have family helping oversee putting our house back together.
We are SO BLESSED with the means to take care of it all even if it feels never ending.
I love how resilient my children are.
I realized recently I focus so much on my sanity and survival for us all that I let things I want to do fall by the wayside.
I want to be better about seeing the positive and the good that Jake and the kids do.
I want to let go and realize that I do not have to control it all and my way is not the only way.

I want to also let go because I want to not feel like I carry it all alone.
I have seen friends who say, "Let Go and Let God" and I think I need to have more faith in my Savior as well.

I think in the end of all of this we will look back and see that Havey liquidating our lives will be all for the good.
We will see that it was hard, but it was ok.
And, like I say, we were made to do hard things.
God made us to do hard things.
He has faith in us, now I need to have faith in Him and in my family.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
