Blogging

It seems an update is in order.

Jake is still working and traveling.  He stays busy and is finishing up all his applications for being admitted to the bar.  He passed the test, not more paperwork and hoops to jump through to actually be admitted.

I started school again.  I am doing the Pathway program through BYU-Idaho.  I'm hoping to wrap up my credits from when I first started at BYU back in 2003.  I love it so far!  I meet once a week for a religion class and general education class and the rest is done through online assignments due each week on Wednesday and Saturday.

The kids are doing well in their school here.  I love this little school they go to and feel so welcome there.

I updated my computer and it did not go well.  I lost all of 2015 that was stored.  I need to be better about blogging (and backing up my files).  It will take awhile to sort all that out, but I'll get it back in order.

We are loving living on the farm.  The cow will be ready to milk soon.  Our garden needed about another month so this year we will get an earlier start on growing indoors while it's still cool.  The kids love to gather eggs and some complain more than others about helping with chores.

Zelda our dog is still doing well.  She is a friendly face when we return home and still obedient.  She still does not play well with other animals.

We recently took family pictures and I am excited about them.

I should get these babies bathed and in bed.  I feel as though I have writer's block with blogging these days, hopefully I will get back into a routine and groove.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
