Jedi Training at Hollywood Studios

Jake performed SUPER DAD abilities and took all four children on Saturday to Hollywood studios while I worked at Disney.  Since he could bring two more people with our passes he invited our friends the Dicks.  Sadly Solomon had an epic meltdown when Jake was in line and they took the kids for ice cream.  He so badly wanted to ride the Ariel ride.  Talk about embarrassing!

He took some great videos of the three oldest fighting Darth Vader and Solomon so cutely falling asleep on the sidewalk.  He forgot a stroller!




















 Malachi gets a bit scared on Tower of Terror.  Solomon was old enough and took it like a champ Jake said!

    So cute!! What a fun day! I cracked up at Solomon falling asleep on the sidewalk.. too funny. Since you work at Disney now, you should ask the people that dress up in those huge costumes with the big heads if they ever smile while taking pictures with people. I've always wondered that. I think i still would :)

    Such a great post! I love the Sophia! As a Disney employee, you now can get a FREE stroller or wheelchair rental every time you go if needed! We've definitely forgotten ours a few times and its a life saver - well meltdown saver... ;) Jake might be able to as well if his name is on the pass that gets people in. It might be different now though as we left Disney just as they changed the ticketing system...hope that helps! xoxo

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
