WDW's Animal Kingdom

Jake ran ahead with the girls to ride EVEREST and we stopped to see Mickey and Minnie because there wasn't a wait at all.
The girls got Malachi excited about SIGNATURES from the characters.
We then headed over to our favorite part of the park, THE SAFARI!
Once again we didn't wait, the line moved in such a way that we just kept walking til we got on.
The kids get so excited and Solomon made sure he said, "HI!" to all the animals we passed.

 Crocodiles!

These might as well be Texas long horns with head gear like that!
I love listening to the kids talk on video when we watch home movies.  I wish I video taped more and I hope the movies I have made will be enough some day.

They loved the flamingos!  Malachi saw them first and told the girls (the girls had been asking about them most of the ride).
Above our seats are charts listing the animals to watch for.  Aimi Lark is such a good reader now that she was pointing out the animals and saying their names.

We then walked around and saw lots of cool smaller animals.

We searched for birds and Aimi Lark made sure and took notes describing all the things she saw that day.
We found a Gorilla the same age as Daddy so we got a photo to compare sizes.
We took the train to "affection section" and enjoyed the petting zoo.
Daddy took the three youngest on the "Pocahontas" ride while I went and rode EVEREST with Aimi Lark.  We have called this the Pocahontas ride since we moved here and started going because Jake sings loudly "JUST AROUND THE RIVER BEND" as they ride it.  This was Solomon's first time to ride, he was tall enough!  (poor kid is short like Me and Mali Su)
After a scaring Solomon at the Bug's Life show we went and met POCAHONTAS!
The kids loved that she signed her name just like on the movie!
I loved our family day and I packed just enough snacks!
I miss having annual passes but going randomly will have to do.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
