Jake is a Teacher

A 7th Grade Reading Teacher at my Mom's school, Westwood Middle School in Winter Haven, FL.
My Mom kindly did pretty much everything to get Jake this job.  
I am excited to hear how Jake likes it, but that won't be til late tonight when he gets home from law school.
He's a busy guy.

    they are letting him start like mid way through the school year? that's cool! congrats to him! so is a reading teacher the same as like an english teacher? i haven't been to 7th grade in a loong time so i can't remember the classes! hahha

    Congrats to Jake! I'm not a teacher, but I absolutely love working in schools. Way to go (to both of you) for him being in law school AND holding down a job at the same time! Can't be easy for either one of you, but I love how you seem to stay so positive and always take things in stride. What an awesome example to set for your children!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
